What We Believe
We believe that there is a God that has revealed himself as one God in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is good and desires good for His creation – plants, animals, and people, oceans, forests and icebergs - all of creation. We believe that all human beings live in a state where we experience severance from what God intended for us, which often manifests itself in destructive relationships to God, to others and within ourselves - in all aspects of our lives (emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, physically). We believe that God has done something remarkable in Jesus, and that remarkable mercy can transform our relationships with God and each other. We seek to listen to, work for, and serve and obey God, trusting that in the mercy of Jesus, we have already been brought into a right relationship with God.
We are a congregation of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We gladly submit to the reformation principles of Faith Alone, Grace Alone and Scripture Alone, that it is through trust in God (Faith) that God brings us to a relationship with Him, it is by the undeserved mercy (Grace) of God that we are His, and that our sole rule for understanding God is the Word of God (Scripture) as revealed and written down over thousands of years and is still speaking to us today.
